For the vast majority of Americans, our lives have drastically changed over the past month. While this has been an incredibly challenging time, it’s also brought out a lot of positivity, creativity and ingenuity. People are taking the time to cherish long walks, learn a new language, catch up on their binge watching wishlists, organize their homes, connect in new ways, and in general complete tasks they’ve been putting off.
If you have the means, it’s also a great time to check out new clean beauty products. Specifically, natural deodorant. If you haven’t switched to natural deodorant yet, you may or may not know that there can be an adjustment period, sometimes called a “detox” period.
During this time, many people report that they experience an increase in sweat and odor-causing bacteria (yikes!). The good news is that this is temporary and it doesn’t happen for everyone! A common misconception is that aluminum-free deodorants cause the adjustment period, when in reality, it’s more likely to be your body’s response to moving away from your old product. For some people, it can take a couple weeks for your body to completely wash out of aluminum plugs caused by antiperspirant. And because everyone’s body responds differently to that process, everyone has a slightly different experience during the adjustment period, including some that never experience it at all!
There has never been a better time to attempt the adjustment period than when you’re purposefully home self-isolating and maintaining at least a six-foot distance from your fellow humans.
If you’re willing to give it a shot, we have compiled some quotes and tips from some of our VIP customers to help you get through the adjustment period a little easier.
